I really enjoy the game so far and can't wait to see it's further development.

Some bugs I've encountered:
- When reaching 969 you can't pick up crystals and now you can't mine the dirt from duststorm.
- All blocks have been marked as unknown except Gloamclay, Wethered Stone and Runestone. Thus I can't mine the others with the new Echo Harvest upgrade.

Love the game! The quaint messages at the bottom make my day! Please allow the ability to get back blocks you sold off (or get the moles to do more restoring). Other than that a very pleasant abnegation game.

Hey that is really amazing to hear, I am glad someone saw the messages! I have added some new upgrades to your tools and a new event that will allow access to earlier soft blocks. A temporary fix for what is taking a while to implement. I will release the update tomorrow! Thank you again!

very fun game :)

180 golems are good

Awesome! You make the golems proud!

(+2)

I don't know why I like it, but I do.

I am glad you do! :D

Excellent incremental game.

Awesome gameplay, thank you for that!

(+1)

just completed the game in like 2 hours (all blocks mined to 969) was rly fun only thing i would love to see added is a way to get more of the "old" mined block for more golems was stuck on 41 max'd golems cus i sold the rest of the "old" blocks so a shop or somthing where u can buy the blocks so u can get more of them would be awesome

(+1)

I'll second this.  I have 59 runestone golems, and another 61 regular ones that I can't upgrade 'cus I can't get any more clay anymore.  I also didn't upgrade the shovel/pickaxe line, and now I don't have that option anymore.  Still, fun game all around for what it is.

Wow that is impressive! Good job! I am aiming to release a small update tomorrow that will help regain those older blocks a little more. It won’t be a perfect fix but it is a step in the right direction. Thanks again!

It's fun.

Really glad to hear that!

Very fun and addictive little ecosystem, I was dissapointed to get maxed out at 969 but it's probably for the best haha

(+1)

Hey Ben, that is amazing to hear! There will definitely be more to visit in the near future, but yeah, definitely rest your golems for a litte while!

Yeah it would be nice to be able to go deeper. Maybe add new laser drills and explosives?

(+1)

nice game but it is hard to read

Hey SquishyFishies! I apologise for that. It is being looked into!

(+1)

is there anything for breaking every single block to max or just once u break one to the 969 its over basicaly?

Hey, pretty much once you hit runestone is the current end… For now!

(+2)

You have a very addicting format here, if you keep refining it this could become something big.

Hey Joe, thank you for that. It means a lot!

(+3)

i like this but its really hard to see due to low resolution, i couldnt properly read the  tutorial

Hey, thank you for letting me know. I really want to get fullscreen working better, which in turn, should make the smaller fonts easier to read!

Very fun game, excited for any type of updates :)

Damn! Good job dude!

(+1)

also 969

Amazing :D

(+1)

can't continue decent for no reason... :(

Hey, sorry to hear that. There’s a small issue where you might have to click continue then click it again. A silly bug that I don’t know how to fix sadly. If that doesn’t work then it’s possible your browser deleted the save files, maybe? There is a windows exe version to download below for worst case scenario!

(+1)

I absolutely love this!

I have played many idle/clicker/incremental games themed around mining, digging holes, resource extraction, etc.

This is easily the most satisfying of the entire bunch. The random events feel perfectly spaced out if a player wants to treat this as an active game, but the Golems are cheap and efficient enough that you could also easily build an army and treat this as an idler.

If there is ever a Steam release, count on me being a Day 1 purchase. 😁

I don't know your vision for the future of this game, but I would love to have some kind of map or hub. I think it would be excellent if, once you've gone deep enough on a specific chunk of land, you can move somewhere else and start with a fresh plot. Perhaps that could be tied to some sort of prestige system, or perhaps different types of tiles and events could be more common in different locations.

Mainly, I want a much larger simulated landmass to strip-mine. One chunk will only sate me for so long. 😈

(+1)

I always appreciate ideas! And I love this one. I will sit juggle with your idea and see if your evil plans for lots of giant strip mines fit in ;)

Awh that is really amazing to hear! Thank you so much!

I am really pleased to hear all that. It is a great boost of confidence and in turn, better for Arcane Earth! :P

(+2)

Are the upgrades supposed to not have a cap? Cuz I can buy them infinitely, it just stops having any cost besides essence...

Hey, yeah at the moment I just allowed them to continue being upgraded. A little treat I suppose for reaching that far! In future, they will continue onto the new blocks that will be added and then have a final finish!

(1 edit) (+3)

Nice little game. I wish buried trinkets didn't take away control from the player though.

Hey thank you for that. I’ll do some testing and see which feels better. I originally thought sincenthe trinket takes up lots of space, just giving players a little pause would be nice

(+1)

You can go above the maximum upgrade limit :) image.png

Hey, you absolutely can! As the depths get deeper with future updates, the amount of upgrades will increase with the new blocks, not just essence

(+1)

no idea what moles do....

Hey, moles heal the ground making the blocks around them go back in depth levels. Hitting them gives you a small pot of essence and sometimes a crystal! In the next small update they will heal the ground quicker

(+3)

guess i found the current limit. 969 (nice)
nice game! at one point i couldnt upgrade any more golems because of the lack of blocks.
maybe time for a reset multiplayer soon? ;)

(+2)

Yeah it needs some way to trade crystals for blocks or something since you do get hardlocked out of golem upgrades if you dig too much and sell too much.

Absolutely! Infusion is under development which will allow the creation of blocks!

Wow, that is impressive! I think a rest is what you need right now :P

Casual and fun game. Looking forward to updates.

- Soul Ash seems to be an outlier.

- (Bug) Golem output is sometimes incorrect: e.g. on lv350+ Gloamclay tiles, golem often doesn't dig Gloamclay? (mouse down does dig Gloamclay)

- (QoL) Holding down mouse is tiring. Please make digging=hover on foreground, and digging=set on tile on background.

- IMO "Event Aggregator" should be significantly buffed to make game pace varying.

(+1)

That is amazing to hear, thank you!

I really appreciate your feedback.

Soul Ash will become more part of the game in future updates. It is just currently a limiter for shovel upgrades which is not fully necessary until you reach Soul Ash.

In the most recent small update I doubled the amount Event Aggregator gives from 5% to 10%.

I will add a seperate button to toggle auto digging, that seems like a really useful idea!

The golem bug confuses me but it makes me reconsider how golems work a little… Watch this space!

Thank you very much!

The Game speaks LIES and so does its CREATOR!
The Centennial Pickaxe, very real it is, the Legends speak of its appearance as does its name,
And The Stone, too weathered it seems, so much so, construct of clay overcome its strength.

(Golems can break the stone, which makes you unlock the Pickaxe at depth 100)

(PS: The outlined tiles are un-interactable by everything, golems included)
(PSS: Tiles become un-interactable randomly, though with a higher likelihood the deeper a tile is (the game is probably trying to spawn the sixth block and panicking))

Also saving is a little broken:
Golems went *poof*, along with my resources (+essence),
and un-interactable tiles' appearance are reset back to Grass. (still un-interactable)
The other upgrades were kept though (pickaxe included).

Edit: After some more reloads, it seems like everything saves correctly, but my first save didn't for reasons unknown?

Wow. That is very impressive… Hats off to your patience levels!

I appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention but sadly in the version you have been playing, you “shouldn’t” have been able to get past depth 69… and the Golems should not have been able to break stone… Lmao.

I am hopeful that these issues were caused due to your godlike patience skills and game breaking Golems. I imagine the difficulty for the game is that there is no depth past 236 and therefor getting to that depth caused the game not to save correctly…

I have began progressing towards the pickaxe being legitally used and there being new stones to mine out. Hopefully you don’t mind waiting a little longer to see what is further into the depths.

Thank you again, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into showing me these issues, let alone playing the game! <3

How do I break weathered stone

Currently that is the limit of the demo sorry to say!

(+1)

No problem very good game :) I really liked it

Hey that is awesome, thank you!

This is a pretty cool concept, and I understand the lack of certain features is due mainly to very early development. I'd like to see more base features exist the further the game progresses in development:

  • Automation: We lack this a lot. You'd want players to feel like they've finally grown from the constant clicking (not entirely, I will explain later) (or holding click for prolonged amounts of time).
    • AutoDrill: I think the way automation should work is that it could be based on a percentage of your DMG stat. The upgrade to use this will increase that percentage by a maximum of 70% so that people can still choose to optimize their playstyle through continuous clicking.
    • Dig Speed & Dig Amount: There could be upgrades related to the speed and amount of blocks they're digging, starting with 1 block every 5 seconds to possibly a max speed of 5 blocks per second on any random tile.
    • (Sourced from another suggestion comment) Area DMG: I will explain how this will work when we get to the shovel upgrades.
    • Explosives: A somewhat better form of automation that deals with Area DMG on a random tile. It's prolonged compared to AutoDrill, but its impact deals with +150% of Area DMG that uses 100% of your DMG stat. Upgrades like Speed and Amount can be implemented at a lower benefit than what AutoDrill would have.
  • Shovel Upgrades: As of now, we only have DMG as an upgrade, though I think we could add a bit more to the mix:
    • (Sourced from another suggestion comment) Area DMG: The way this works is that you start with a 3x3, with the center now only dealing 80% and the surrounding tiles with only 60%. Each upgrade will add 10% to both center and surrounding damage until it reaches 100% and 80%. If you upgrade it again, it will be nerfed down to 60% and 40%, but you now have a 5x5 grid with the outer area dealing 20%, and you can upgrade that to 80%, 60%, and 40%, respectively as to not make it overpowered to use. Automation can also use this, but it will be nerfed since automation itself only uses a portion of your DMG stat.
    • Crit / Crit%: It's self-explanatory, but it could be good if you were to rebalance towards damage and block tile HP.

These are some of the ideas I have. I don't expect you to follow all of it in its entirety because I respect your ideas more than putting any of ours as a 1:1 similar feature, but I will follow through the course of this game's development. Hopefully, it goes well ^^

(+1)

That is glorious! I love the thought and effort you’ve put into this and will definitely use some of your suggestions! I especially like the idea of explosives. It would help with the automation aspect of the game that I am still undecided on how to implement it.

I appreciate the support and kindness!

(+2)

Fun concept. Typically a clicker-style game needs some sort of automation otherwise after 1000 clicks with no end in sight, most players will move on. Thinking about some more gameplay that would keep me engaged longer:

  • Automation: Jackhammer acts as mouse click wherever cursor is, upgradable to faster clicks
  • Automation: Moles to randomly dig plots
  • Automation: Dogs to retrieve the materials
  • Shop to sell materials
  • Market to trade materials
  • Goals/Achievements- Lots of options here. Maybe end goal of digging to the center of the earth?

Thank you! You are absolutely right, nobody wants to be click click clicking. They are some amazing suggestions, I really appreciate it!

(1 edit) (+1)

I would love to see shovel area upgrades :D
And it seems like the only reason to mine lower-tier blocks is to find gold, but it would be nice to be able to exchange my 2000+ soil into higher tier blocks

Great idea! Thank you for that.

(+1)

i finsid all

(+2)

bro, your shovel is a pickaxe.

Looks good so far, I'm eager to see where it goes!
