Casual mode


When designing this game, I have been the soul tester. I’ve ensured all jumps could be jumped and all spikes could be avoided. All arrows could be dodged and the big ol’ spider could be jumped over. It has only just occured to me that Siobhan, the (perfect) woman whom I am making this project for, does not have as much gaming experience as myself. It is fine that I can make that jump, or dodge that arrow. But can she? The answer is maybe. Probably with time and practice. But definitely not as good as the soul tester of the game. So with this in mind, I have altered all “difficult” aspects of the game and placed them all in two catagories. One catagory for the casual gamer, like Siobhan, and one for people who play games more regularly. In the casual gamemode the spider will run slower, arrows will shoot less and the whole gameplay experience will hopefully be calmer and more accessable to those who aren’t avid gamers like myself.
